The last year has seen the odour elimination air freshening sector explode in a flurry of market products.

However, launches in odour elimination have moved on from mere functionality into aspirational and trend led offerings.

The fragrances fall under the following categories;  floral, citrus, linen, meadows and fresh mountain air.

These are in strong contrast to the warming and edible and tropical scents which can be found in many non odour eliminating fragrances within aircare fragrances.

The next odour elimination trend will be into natural fruits as the Superfruit and Organic and Wellbeing trend gather momentum.

Personal Care...

Handwashes are the primary focus within the odour neutralising trend at the moment.

They tend to focus on clean and fresh, as well as aromatherapy benefits to neutralise odours - citrus fruits such as lemon and lime or clean herbs such as Peppermint in the Simple range. Odour neutralising is linked with antibacterial - such as in the Carex range - clean, fresh and protected is the message.

Household Care...

With the recent launch of Ariel and Lenor washing powder and fabric conditioner with the Febreze effect we will begin to see more odour neutralising going into multifunctional cleaners and wipes.
