With over 1,000 specialised receptor cells, each sensitive to one or two specific odourants, we have a highly attuned sense of smell able to detect both pleasant and unpleasant odours.

The Odourfoyl design system works in conjunction with the olfactory process by altering how the malodour is detected. The Odourfoyl molecule interacts with the malodour molecule in the air, distorting it and thus rendering the malodour undetectable to the receptors in the nose.  The malodour is effectively eliminated, replaced by an Odourfoyl® fragrance.
